Nomadic women’s lack of access to health services and facilities

Nomadic women and children are among the most deprived sections of the society who do not have access to health and welfare facilities. They face many problems and challenges in the deserts and are deprived of education. Some of these women have said in interviews with the media that they do not have the most basic human rights. including the right to choose, the right to education and living facilities. Shahpiri, one of these women, says that she gives birth under a tent and her children are born milk after milk, which is difficult to maintain. Priegel says that among these women, she lives under the same tent with her husband’s second wife, which is very difficult for her.
They are also denied the right to communicate with their families and parents. One of these women says that she has not seen her parents for many years and that they live in the mountains and desert and are not allowed to go to her father’s house.
This is despite the fact that nomadic women and children have the right to enjoy basic facilities and their children become literate, just like other tribes and people of Afghanistan. But so far, the basic work has not been done for this segment of the society.
