March of thousands of Iranians in London to call IRGC terrorists

A large number of opponents of the Islamic Republic came to the streets of London by calling on Britain and European countries to include the name of the IRGC in the list of terrorist groups and expressing solidarity with the protest movement of the Women of Freedom. The London police did not announce the number of demonstrators at the time of publishing this news, but called it a large gathering.

Demonstrators were holding flags and banners asking Britain and European countries to include the name of the Revolutionary Guards in the list of terrorist groups.

Vahid Beheshti, a British-Iranian political activist who has been on hunger strike in front of the British Foreign Ministry for 66 days, said during the march of Iranians in London: “Now is the season of struggle and we should not be divided.” The Islamic Republic wants to divide us into sects so that we branch off.”

In addition to Vahid Beheshti, Hamed Esmailiyoun, Azmat Azhdari, one of the families of the victims of the Ukrainian plane, Alireza Akhundi, a member of the Swedish Parliament of Iranian descent, as well as Roya and Mehsa Piraei, the children of Mino Majidi, one of the victims of the popular uprising protests, spoke in this rally.

Hamed Esmailiyoun held the IRGC responsible for the destruction of the country’s economy, environment and future and said: “Stop denying the truth. This vile institution should not have a place in Iran’s future.”

The Association of the Families of the Victims of Flight PS752, in a statement announcing its firm support for this rally, called on the international community to force this institution to answer for its crimes by putting pressure on the IRGC. The statement of this association states: “We sympathize with its victims against the brutal actions of the Revolutionary Guards. “We declare our strong support for the recognition of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization in the UK and we ask other democratic governments to join this decision.”
