Imran Khan: They will imprison me by military court
In an interview with AfgNews24 agency, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, in response to the question of who is behind the suppression of Tehreek-e-Insaf Party, said: The ruling body is obviously the army. They are now doing it publicly.
Imran Khan said about the recent speculations about the possibility of holding a military court: The only way is for them to put me in jail. All their fuss about military courts is to imprison me.
She accused Pakistan’s military intelligence service of being involved in the crackdown against her and also accused army chief Asim Munir of holding a grudge.
Munir, who took over as Pakistan’s army chief in November 2022, was the chief of Pakistan’s Military Intelligence Service (ISI) in 2019, but was abruptly removed from her post during Imran Khan’s tenure as prime minister.
Imran Khan said: I think maybe she has a grudge because I asked her to resign. I do not know. She should not have a problem now because she is the commander of the army. So why does she have this grudge in her heart?
