Farkhunda, a 17-Year-Old Girl, Mysteriously Killed in Golbahar Center Only 45 Days After Marriage:;

Farkhunda, a 17-year-old girl who had been unable to continue her education due to the closure of schools, was married approximately forty-five days ago to Hammad—known as “Almas”—the son of Haji Ehsanullah, widely referred to as Haji Malang, based on a family-arranged agreement.

On the morning of 15 November, Farkhunda’s body was found under suspicious and mysterious circumstances inside the residence of her husband’s family at Golbahar Center.

Sources close to the girl’s family state that her relatives intended to transfer the body to the Forensic Medicine Department for examination. However, Haji Ehsanullah, a shareholder of the gold mine in Samti village of Chah Ab district in Takhar and a business partner of Bashir Noorzai, allegedly prevented the transfer of the body.

According to these sources, Farkhunda’s brother works for Haji Ehsanullah’s gold extraction company, and Haji Malang has used his extensive influence to pressure the girl’s family into remaining silent up to this point.
