Excavation of Takhar people’s lands by Chinese miners; The Taliban beat eight local residents
Local sources in Takhar province report a physical conflict between local residents and Taliban fighters in this province.
Sources say that this conflict took place near the Kokche bridge in Dasht Qala district between people related to Mullah Kamal, the commander of the Taliban border post in Takhar.
The conflict occurred after a number of Chinese miners began digging their land to find “gold” without the permission of local residents.
According to these sources, people related to Mullah Kamal severely beat up at least eight residents of this area.
The sources add that the condition of three of the beaten people is serious and they have been taken to the hospital.
The Taliban have not said anything about this so far.
