Afghan immigrants in Pakistan struggle with hopelessness and imprisonment.
Thousands of citizens who left this country after the fall of Afghanistan to the hands of the Taliban, now, in addition to enduring economic problems and poverty, they are also facing arrest and harassment by the police of this country. Over the past weeks, Pakistani police have detained dozens of people in the cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Afghan immigrants in this country say that investigation is the legal right of the police, but the way they are questioned and investigated has horrified them. Also, women and children are shocked by the arrest and action of the Pakistani police. The Taliban embassy in Islamabad has announced the arrest of 250 Afghan citizens by the Pakistani police. Source statistics show that dozens of people have been arrested from each residential building in different areas of these two cities. This is despite the fact that the Islamabad police has not provided accurate statistics of those arrested.
