Afghan-Born Australian Senator Establishes New Party : Report by Ahmad Sohail Parto

Fatima Payman, an Afghan-born senator in the Australian Parliament, has founded a new party called “Voice of Australia” four months after being forced to resign from the Labor Party due to her support for Palestine.

Payman announced that her party will nominate candidates for Senate elections in all Australian states and will also field candidates for some parliamentary seats.

She emphasized that “Voice of Australia” will be a centrist party focused on all Australians, aiming to create a fairer and more inclusive Australia.
