Actor and photographer Arif Takvin’s body was handed over to his family after 45 days
A month and a half after the murder of Afghan actor, director and photographer Seyyed Araf Takvin in Italy, his body was handed over to his family.
The Italian police handed over the body of Mr. Tekin to his family on Monday, the 15th of Scorpio.
Seyyed Arif Takvin, who fled to Italy after the Taliban took over the country, was stabbed to death by his roommate Farhad Pajhwok, a resident of Nangarhar province, on Thursday, 16th of Sanblah in Florence.
After cutting Takin’s throat, Pajhwok threw himself from the balcony of a tall building and committed suicide.
Seyed Araf’s father Sidanoor wants the Italian government to explain more about his son’s murder and provide justice.
Meanwhile, Faiq, Tekin’s brother, also says that the case of his brother’s murder has not yet been closed and the police investigation is ongoing.
Friends of Aref Takvin say that his murder was a terrorist act and the countries that accept immigrants must guarantee the safety of asylum seekers.
Seyed Aref Takvin, a graduate of the Fine Arts Faculty of Kabul University, was a famous writer, director and photographer in the country.
He did cultural and artistic work in Bamyan and Kabul for 12 years, played roles in many films and received many international awards for his photography.
