The process of extracting oil from Qashgari oil wells in Sarpol has started last Saturday, 17th of Cancer.
The Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum of the Islamic Emirate, during her visit to Sarpul, called Qashgari one of the most important economic resources of Afghanistan and said that a part of Qashgari’s oil income will be spent on the reconstruction and development of Sarpul.
Shahabuddin Delawar, while opening the well number 21 of Qashgari Mine, said that the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum is trying to increase the amount of oil extraction from this well to 100 tons per day in the near future.
She adds: “Another 15 wells will be repaired and drilled by the end of the year AD, and daily more than a thousand tons of oil, extraction and its proceeds will be spent on the reconstruction of the country.”
It should be mentioned that the government’s inattention to oil extraction and long-term internal wars have caused Afghanistan to import a large part of the oil it needs from outside.
