Iranian media, citing the Supreme Court of this country, have announced the confirmation of the death sentence of two defendants of the attack on the shrine of Shahcheragh in Shiraz.

These two people sentenced to death are Mohammad Ramez Rashidi and Seyed Naeem Hashemi Qatali and they are citizens of Afghanistan.

The Supreme Court of Iran has announced that the appeal of the defendants was rejected and this verdict was issued based on the statements of the defendants and technical documentation.

However, some human rights activists and social media users say that the trial of the defendants was not fair and that their public executions were based on forced confessions. The exact time of the execution has not been specified, but it has been said that the issued sentence will be executed soon.

On the evening of the 4th day of Scorpio, 1401, an armed attacker entered the shrine known as Shahcheragh in the city of Shiraz, Iran, and shot the worshipers. The attacker died in the hospital after being wounded by Iranian security forces.
