Gathering of P1 and P2 Case Holders in Islamabad; Call for Lifting Suspension and Expediting Relocation Process

A number of Afghan refugees holding P1 and P2 cases in Islamabad held a gathering, demanding the lifting of the suspension of the executive order by former U.S. President Donald Trump. They emphasized that U.S. allies in the Afghan war should not be subject to this suspension and that their relocation process should be expedited.

During the gathering, which included women, men, and children, participants chanted slogans urging President Trump to address their situation. Protesters stated, “We stood by you, but now, after nearly three years, we are in a state of uncertainty and crisis.”

These refugees, who have been waiting for years to be relocated to the United States, called on U.S. authorities to pay attention to their requests and take immediate action to resolve their issues.

The protesters stressed that the suspension of this program has left them in a precarious situation and urged the U.S. government to honor its commitments to its Afghan allies.
