Descendants of Kawsar Grand Celebration Held in Berlin Honoring Young Media & Civil Activists and Revisiting the Fatimid Legacy
Berlin – Afghan News 24

A grand ceremony marking the auspicious birth anniversary of حضرت فاطمه زهرا (سلاماللهعلیها) was held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the Mahdieh Cultural Center in Spandau, Berlin, under the title “Descendants of Kawthar.” The event witnessed wide participation from cultural figures, Sadat families, and members of the Afghan and Muslim migrant communities residing in Germany.

According to Afghan News 24, the spiritual gathering aimed to highlight the elevated status of the beloved daughter of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and to strengthen religious and cultural identity among the younger generation growing up in the diaspora. The program included scholarly lectures, devotional recitations, and a special segment dedicated to honoring young activists.
Exploring the Concept of “Quranic Kawthar” and Iqbal’s Thought
The keynote speaker of the ceremony was Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Seyed Jafar Adeli Hosseini, a religious researcher and scholar. In his address, he examined the personality of Lady Fatimah (SA) through the lenses of the Holy Qur’an, Prophetic tradition, and the mystical-philosophical literature of Allama Iqbal Lahori.

Referring to the verses of Mawaddah and Mubahala, he elaborated on the exalted position of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and emphasized the importance of preserving the spiritual legacy of Lady Fatimah (SA), citing the famous Hadith: “Fatimah is a part of me.” He further highlighted Iqbal’s portrayal of Lady Fatimah as the perfect model of a Muslim woman and “Sayyidat Nisa al-Alamin” (Leader of the Women of the Worlds).
Strengthening Identity Among the Younger Generation in the Diaspora
Speakers at the event stressed the necessity of maintaining strong ties between young migrants and the culture of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), describing such gatherings as vital platforms for fostering unity, spirituality, and moral awareness among families living abroad. The Sermon of Fadak (Khutbah al-Fadakiyyah) was also analyzed as a historical testament to Lady Fatimah’s social insight and political awareness.
Special Recognition of Young Sadat Media Activists
One of the most distinctive aspects of the ceremony was its focus on youth engagement. In the closing segment, young Sadat media activists who have been actively promoting religious and cultural values through digital platforms and media outlets were warmly honored.
In appreciation of their dedication and impact, the organizers presented certificates of recognition to these young activists, encouraging them to continue their meaningful efforts in today’s modern media landscape.
The “Descendants of Kawthar” celebration concluded with hospitality for guests and a renewed emphasis on the unifying message:
“We are all guests at the table of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS),” leaving participants in an atmosphere filled with joy, spirituality, and communal solidarity.
