Inclusion of Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada, Leader of the Terrorist Taliban Group, in the “500 Most Influential Muslims in the World” List Is a Disgraceful Act that Promotes Violence and Global Terrorism
The inclusion of Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the terrorist Taliban group, in the so-called list of the “500 Most Influential Muslims in the World” by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre is not only an insult to genuinely influential Muslim figures worldwide but also a shameful act that contributes to the promotion of violence and the expansion of international terrorism.
For years, Hibatullah Akhundzada and the Taliban have murdered thousands of innocent people in Afghanistan in the name of Islam and jihad. For more than four years, through crimes against humanity and the practice of gender apartheid against Afghan women, they have blackened and distorted the image of the sacred religion of Islam and its followers.
Hibatullah Akhundzada is not a respected religious or intellectual figure; he is an international terrorist, a violator of human rights, and a perpetrator of atrocities who has issued more than seventy misogynistic decrees aimed at suppressing Afghanistan women. Under his rule, a regime of violence, gender discrimination, and the erasure of humanity has been established in Afghanistan—one that warrants his arrest and prosecution.
Akhundzada has turned the sacred religion of Islam into an instrument for seizing power, controlling, and oppressing the people of Afghanistan—particularly women, vulnerable ethnic groups, and religious minorities.
Therefore, the inclusion of Hibatullah Akhundzada’s name in the list of the “500 Most Influential Muslims in the World” effectively amounts to supporting his anti-Islamic and anti-human crimes. Instead of honoring the Islamic values of justice, knowledge, and human dignity, such an action presents a false, distorted, and shameful image of Islam and its true followers.
