Complaint of Afghan Futsal Referees; Exclusive Interview with Ali Dad Soltani

According to Afghan News24, a number of Afghan futsal referees have raised concerns about discrimination, lack of support, and negligence by the Afghanistan Football Federation. They state that despite their continuous efforts and contributions in the field of refereeing, no fair rights or benefits have been granted to them.

In this regard, Afghan News24 conducted an exclusive interview with Ali Dad Soltani, one of the well-known futsal referees in the country. In the interview, Soltani strongly criticized the unprofessional behavior of the federation’s officials and said:

“We have worked for years for the development of futsal and refereeing, but unfortunately, we are facing neglect and injustice. Our payments are not delivered on time, there is no opportunity for training and skill improvement, and many referees are struggling with financial and psychological problems.”

He added that Afghan referees, despite facing numerous challenges, have successfully officiated both domestic and international matches, but negligence by the authorities could harm the motivation and future of young referees.

Ali Dad Soltani stressed that if the situation continues, many referees will be forced to leave this profession. He urged the Afghanistan Football Federation and relevant sports institutions to seriously address the demands and challenges of referees.
