Fawzia Kofi said at the Munich Security Conference that the Taliban had shown by suppressing women that they had not changed. She efforts to reform the Taliban would be futile. Kofi also called on Pakistan to stop deporting refugees who have fled the Taliban.

Sources say Iranian Revolutionary Guard commanders and diplomats in Turkey have met with opposition Taliban leaders, including Dostum and Mohaqiq. Iranian officials have advised them to avoid rapprochement with Pakistan to preserve the Islamic Republic’
