Where are you, those who shed brotherly tears for Pakistanis
Reported by Ahmad Sohail Partaw.
Haseebullah, like many young people of this land, will never return home.
In the midst of the silent, pain-filled nights of Takhar, yet another young life was dragged into blood and death. Haseebullah, a young man who was only seeking a simple and peaceful life in the city of Taloqan, is no longer among us. He, who perhaps still had unfulfilled dreams in his heart, was silently and innocently sacrificed in front of the horrified eyes of the people, a victim of unending violence. The bullet that was fired from a Taliban fighter’s gun not only pierced Haseebullah’s heart but filled thousands of other hearts with sorrow and rage.
This bullet didn’t just destroy the body of one individual, but it reminded us once again that in a country where justice is overshadowed, and humanity is in decline, death can arrive at any moment, without warning. Haseebullah was neither the first nor the last; he is one of dozens of young people who, over the past three years, have been victims of violence, injustice, and absolute oppression.
Amid this sorrow, our cries are silenced in our throats, and our tears fall soundlessly to the ground. Mothers, fathers, and their loved ones, with broken hearts and uncertain fates, continue to search for justice among the shadows of fear. But will justice ever come? Will we ever see the day when the blood of the innocent is not spilled in vain, and these open wounds are healed?
I fear those who shed brotherly tears for Pakistanis. What is the reason for your silence in the face of these Taliban atrocities?
