Afghanistan is not safe, don’t deport Afghan immigrants; Forced deportation of former Afghan soldiers from Iran and Pakistan endangers their lives.

‏Even though the soldiers of the former government of Afghanistan are extremely vulnerable due to 20 years of fighting against terrorist groups under the Taliban visa, but in the last three years, not the least attention has been paid to their situation.
‏In the past three years of their self-proclaimed government in Afghanistan, the Taliban group has brutally arrested, tortured, insulted and humiliated all thousands of security and defense forces of the previous government under various pretexts; This process continues now.
‏But unfortunately, despite the plight of former Afghan soldiers, national and international institutions have not paid the least attention to them, and even during the transition process, the security and defense forces of the previous government, which are side by side with international forces, are in the front line of the fight against terrorism and the Taliban. they had; They have the least share.
‏The soldiers of the previous government, due to the lack of attention of their American and European allies, are forced to choose the expensive and dangerous way of smuggling, in the past three years, thousands of them, including their families and small children, illegally entered other countries. especially the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan; who are now facing the danger of crossing the border.
‏Besides the challenge of crossing the border, since the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran made its relations with the Taliban closer and decided to surrender the embassy of Afghanistan to the Taliban group, the citizens of Afghanistan, especially the soldiers of the previous government, do not feel safe in that country. And according to the commitment of the Iranian government to the Taliban, they will not allow anyone to engage in political activities against the Taliban group in Iran; The soldiers of the former Afghan government, who participated in the census plan of the Iranian government, are worried that this country will provide their information and addresses to the Taliban in order to secure their interests.
‏Meanwhile, a number of other soldiers, who did not participate in this plan and entered Iran illegally, have very bad conditions and are forced to live secretly and in fear.
‏The soldiers of the previous government are worried about the unknown future of themselves and their families with the fear of crossing the border or surrendering to the Taliban group. Because they cannot stay in Iran and Pakistan, nor can they go to Afghanistan under the rule of the Taliban group.

‏In the past three years, the Taliban have repeatedly killed former soldiers who crossed the border, especially from Iran and Pakistan. They have been arrested and even killed or transferred to an unknown place and there is no information about their fate.

‏We believe that Afghanistan under the rule of the Taliban group is not safe and the forced deportation of Afghan immigrants, especially the soldiers of the previous government and other vulnerable groups from Iran and Pakistan, endangers their lives, because the Taliban group in the three years of their rule, despite the announcement of amnesty The leader of this group has widely arrested, tortured and killed the security forces.
‏I would like to point out that the security and defense forces of the previous government, especially the women soldiers, in addition to security problems and numerous economic challenges in neighboring countries, are also facing serious mental, psychological, security and economic problems inside the country.

‏We in the “Committee for the Support of Afghanistan’s Ex-Servicemen”, bearing in mind the extremely deplorable conditions of Afghanistan’s ex-servicemen in Iran, Pakistan and inside the country, express our wishes as follows:

‏1. We ask the institutions that defend the rights of soldiers to support the former soldiers of Afghanistan with a regular program and not remain silent against the violation of human rights, illegal arrests and killings by the Taliban group.

‏2. We ask the United Nations, in coordination with the government of Iran and Pakistan, to facilitate the legal presence of the soldiers of the former Afghan government in these two countries as immigrants and to handle immigration cases; Afghan immigrants, especially ex-servicemen, speed up in these two countries.

‏3. We ask the government of Iran and Pakistan to stop persecuting Afghan immigrants, especially ex-servicemen and their families, and not to send ex-servicemen to Afghanistan.

‏4. We ask the countries accepting immigrants to issue humanitarian visas to former Afghan soldiers, especially military women, just as they issued humanitarian visas to other sections of the Afghan society.

‏5. We ask the military officials of the previous government not to leave their peers alone in terms of faith and conscience, and we ask the institutions that support the military to provide humanitarian support to the former soldiers of Afghanistan and cooperate to transfer them to safe countries.
