Immigration and Citizenship Canada wrote in a post on X last night (Wednesday) that these people were transferred from Pakistan to the city of Vancouver and will be transferred to 27 locations across Canada.

In recent months, the Canadian government has increased the transfer of Afghan refugees from Pakistan, transporting a number of them on charter flights almost every week.

The country says it has reached its goal of accepting 40,000 refugees from Afghanistan and is continuing to process cases that have already been accepted.

Information posted on the website of Immigration and Citizenship Canada shows that 47,100 Afghan citizens have been transferred to Canada since August 15, 2021.
