The Taliban, quoting Rafaila Ayudis, the European Union’s Chargé d’affaires in Afghanistan, announced that Afghanistan is in the midst of humanitarian aid and cooperation of the European Union.
The General Directorate of the Prime Minister’s Office published a newsletter on Wednesday, November 29, and said that the EU Chargé d’affaires in Afghanistan made these statements in his meeting with Maulawi Abdul Salam Hanafi in Kabul.
Abdul Salam Hanafi, the administrative deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also said in a meeting with Rafaila Ayudis that the Taliban wants “good relations with the world and EU member countries, especially Afghanistan’s neighboring countries”.
Based on the newsletter, Hanafi emphasized to “solve all problems” with the Taliban through dialogue and added that EU member states can invest in Afghanistan because of “security in Afghanistan”.
Earlier, the Ministry of Migrants and Returnees announced that the European Union has promised the Taliban 142 million euros in aid to the migrants returning from Pakistan to Afghanistan.
However, the European Union has so far said nothing about its representative meeting with Taliban officials in Afghanistan
