The United Nations Children’s Fund has announced that the Asian Development Bank has contributed another 400 million dollars to Afghanistan.
The aid is based on a new agreement between the Asian Development Bank, UNICEF, the World Food Program and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the organization wrote in a post on X today (Wednesday, October 4).
UNICEF said: These donations will help address food insecurity and the health needs of mothers and babies.
This institution added that more than 9.5 million people in Afghanistan live in areas without health facilities and the demand for health services is also high.
