According to Express Tribune, Bashara Bibi appeared in Islamabad court on Thursday, 16 Shahrivar with her lawyer.
In this meeting, the police asked the court to issue an arrest warrant for Bushra to continue the investigation in this case.
The investigating officer informed the court that the audio file of Imran Khan’s wife has been sent to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for analysis.
Bashara’s lawyer, Salman Safdar, argued that the police summoned Ms. Bashara for questioning and instead made her sit on the spot for hours.
He also said: During the previous investigation subpoenas, they announced that the audio file does not belong to Bushra Bibi.
So far, it is not known what statements were made in the audio file, but the Islamabad court has given the police of that country until the 21st of this month to clarify this case.
“Toshe Khana” is a government office for keeping the gifts that the statesmen receive from foreign countries, and the statesmen are obliged to declare all the gifts they receive.
Imran Khan, the former prime minister of Pakistan, has been found guilty by the country’s court of selling government gifts from Toshe Khana warehouse at several times its price.
Imran Khan is still accused in several other cases, including corruption and embezzlement in Qadeer Trust.
Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi are accused of embezzling millions of dollars in the “Qadeer Trust” case, which is a non-governmental welfare organization.
This organization was launched in 2018 by Imran Khan and his wife Bashara Bibi.
