Erdoğan’s foreign policy adviser Akif Çagatay Kilij said in an interview with Habir TV channel that Turkey has a valuable role in trying to transfer grain.

He added: “His country is implicitly optimistic that in today’s meeting between the presidents of Turkey and Russia, an agreement and a positive result will be reached regarding the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea.”

Moscow has recently increased its attacks on the Ukrainian port city of Odysseus after Russia terminated a deal brokered by the United Nations and Turkey to transport Ukrainian grain from the Black Sea.

The Russian TASS news agency reported that in the new proposals of the United Nations to resume the export of grain through the Black Sea, some restrictions on Russia will be removed.

According to this report, Russia will be allowed to use the SWIFT money transfer system and the frozen assets of some Russian companies in Europe will be released.
