Maurice Salim was assassinated by shooting at his car, but the Lebanese Defense Minister was taken to a safe place and his condition is reported to be stable.

The incident came less than 24 hours after a Hezbollah fighter was killed in Kahala, where their ammunition truck overturned, sparking clashes with local residents.
Also, on Wednesday, Israel’s Defense Minister warned Hezbollah and the Lebanese government that an attack on this country would result in a strong reaction and dire consequences. Yoav Gallant emphasized that Israel is not looking for war, but is ready to defend itself and its citizens decisively.
