Words of a war soldier:

It is foolish to defend a country where I have no home. It would be foolish to sacrifice myself and make my children homeless after me. It would be foolish to make my mother sick by my death, when she does not know what I died of. It is a shame to leave my wife behind like a dog’s prey. Homeland is the place that provides the necessities of my life, not the cause of my death, and patriotism is a lie invented by politicians to make us die for their interests. I do not believe in dying for the country. The homeland is never lost, it is we who are lost. When the country faces war, the poor are called to defend it. And when the war is over, they call the rich to divide the spoils among themselves. You should know this well, today in the homeland, the chests of heroes are full of bullets and the pockets of traitors are also full of money… and those who don’t deserve to die die at the hands of those who don’t deserve to live.
