About 79 migrants died yesterday after a boat capsized off the southern coast of Greece, and hundreds more are missing and feared drowned.

While the search operation continues to find those missing in the event, a European rescue and rescue organization has announced the number of people on the boat at 750.

On the other hand, the United Nations Migration Agency has estimated the number of passengers on the boat at 400, while the Greek government has refused to speculate on the number of passengers.

According to reports, this boat was from Libya. A shipping ministry official, who did not want to be named, said most of the passengers on the boat were from Egypt, Syria and Pakistan.

Greece is one of the main routes for refugees and migrants from the Middle East, Asia and Africa to enter the European Union.
