Tens of thousands of people in Serbia once again took to the roads and marched in connection with two mass shootings that killed 18 people.
According to the Reuters report, this march was held on Saturday, May 27, in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.
The opposition parties that organized the demonstrations blame the government led by the Progressive Party of Serbia for failing to curb the media that promotes violence and to act against criminal elements in society.
The protesters are calling for the resignation of President Aleksandar Vucic, Interior Minister Bratislav Gasic and Director of the Serbian Security Agency Aleksandar Volin.
However, the Serbian government has denied the accusations of the opposition parties and accuses them of holding demonstrations for political gain.
This was the fourth demonstration in the last few weeks, and despite the bad weather, the number of protesters was similar to the previous three demonstrations.
These protests started after a 13-year-old boy shot and killed eight students and a school guard on May 3 of this year in Belgrade, and injured six other students and a teacher.
A day after that, a 21-year-old man also killed eight people and injured 14 others using firearms.
