
Agreement between Canada and the United Arab Emirates for the settlement of Afghan refugees
Canada’s Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Sean Fraser has announced the country’s agreement with the United Arab Emirates to facilitate the safe passage of Afghan refugees heading to Canada.
The website of the Canadian Department of Immigration states that as part of this partnership, Canada will resettle a thousand Afghan citizens who were evacuated from this country after the fall of Kabul and are currently in the United Arab Emirates.
