UN Women: We don’t only work with men’s teams in Afghanistan

The United Nations Women’s Department has once again expressed its concern about the situation and restrictions against women in Afghanistan by publishing a statement on Monday. This institution has recently published a statement saying that the mission of this organization has not faced any problem in any country in the world like Afghanistan.

A part of this statement states: “In no other part of the world has our mission, presence and influence been challenged as much as in Afghanistan.”

The Women’s Department of the United Nations has called the prohibition of women’s work in non-governmental and international organizations by the Taliban as a “violation of women’s rights” and has said that this action is in conflict with the values on which the international community is based.

In another part of this statement, it is emphasized: “UN Women is deeply affected by the restrictions and threats that exist specifically for women and noted that we will not work with only male teams.” “We will not give up our principled approach in working with women, for women.”

This organization has emphasized that they will remain in Afghanistan permanently to ensure that their activities are effective for Afghan women.
