The management of Afghan refugees needs international support.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said in a telephone conversation with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres that the management of Afghan refugees in Iran requires international attention and support.
He called the number of Afghan refugees in Iran as high as five million people.
According to the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, the Secretary General of the United Nations has appreciated Iran’s role in accepting Afghan refugees and emphasized the need for international support for Iran in this regard.
