
The United Nations has recently published the “Global Report on Food Crises”, according to which Afghanistan is among the ten hungry countries in the world.
Based on this report, which was published on Wednesday, 13th of Thor, Afghanistan, the Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Yemen, Myanmar, Syria, South Sudan, Ukraine and Pakistan have been introduced as 10 hungry countries in the world.
Afghanistan is one of the countries whose citizens are facing acute poverty and hunger.
This report was published by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and said that in 2022, the number of people who were acutely food insecure and needed urgent food, nutrition and livelihood assistance has now increased.
One of the countries that is facing severe food insecurity and hunger is Somalia. But according to this report, this situation also exists in Afghanistan and countries like South Sudan, Nigeria and Yemen.
The spread of the corona virus and the negative consequences of the war in Ukraine are among the reasons for this food insecurity in the world.
