The first leadership meeting of the Ministry of Information and Culture was held in 1402.

The leadership meeting of the Ministry of Information and Culture was held today on the 2nd of April, Sunday (11th of Ramadan) under the chairmanship of the Acting Minister of Information and Culture Alhaj Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwah.

In the meeting, Deputy Ministers, Directors of Departments and Heads of different sectors of the Ministry participated, after reciting the verses of the Holy Quran, following the decisions of the previous meeting; Decisions were made and some issues mentioned in the agenda were discussed.
In general, the focus of the discussion was on the strategy and development of the Ministry’s activities in the next year in various departments of publishing and cultural affairs, etc.
Appointing a committee to evaluate the public activities of the Ministry in the center and provinces and also listening to reports on the activities and achievements of the commission in press affairs and publications, which had good achievements, including the second issue of amending and approving the laws of mass media by the officials of the Ministry and submitted to the commission on behalf of the leadership of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Amir al-Mu’minin Sheikh Sahib, May Allah protect him.
Also the subject of the joint agreement between the following departments such as: Directorate General of Intelligence, Ministry of Interior Affairs, Ministry of Public Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the fact that the Ministry of Information and Culture is the single and responsible body in the country’s press and broadcasting affairs, therefore, whatever possible decision should be made, the Ministry and the Investigation Commission on Media Violations should be made aware of and other bodies should not intervene directly, which will be agreed upon in the near future.
Also, the issue of registration of all respected journalists of the country in the database of the Ministry, while distributing the journalist card, and other topics were discussed.
The meeting ended with prayers.
