Sources from relatives of protesting women have told the media that three protesting women who were arrested two days ago by Taliban forces were released on bail.

Sources have said that Ruqiya Sai, Malali Hashemi, and Fatemeh Mohammadi, three Afghan women protestors who were arrested by Taliban forces on Saturday this week in a demonstration in the west of Kabul, were released on bail.

This is despite the fact that yesterday, the Office of the United Nations Deputy Delegation and Richard Bennett, the special rapporteur of the United Nations Human Rights Council for Afghanistan, also demanded the release of protesting women from the Taliban.
