United Nations Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) in the new school year, more than one million girls are deprived of education.
The Office of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan has said that with the beginning of the new school year in Afghanistan, more than one million girls are not allowed to attend their classes.
The statement of UNAMA states: The mission of the United Nations Vice-Chancellor in Afghanistan once again calls on the ruling authorities to change all their discriminatory policies against women and girls. Such policies not only prevent half of the people from achieving their dreams, but also cause a lot of damage to Afghanistan.
It should be mentioned that the Taliban group closed the gates of schools to girls above the sixth grade after regaining control of Afghanistan. This group also issued a decree prohibiting women from working.
