Human Rights Activist Mojtaba Mohammadi at Risk of Death in Taliban Custody
Report by sameera parto
According to reliable information obtained from inside the prison, Mojtaba Mohammadi, a human rights activist, has been detained in Parwan province prison after being deported from Iran. Reports indicate that he is subjected to severe physical and psychological torture. His condition is extremely concerning, and his life is in serious danger.
We strongly condemn this inhumane behavior by the Taliban, which constitutes a blatant violation of human rights, fundamental freedoms, and basic human dignity.
We call on all international institutions, human rights organizations, and independent media outlets to urgently investigate this case and raise their voices in support of saving his life.
Remaining silent in the face of Mojtaba Mohammadi’s detention and torture is equivalent to silencing the voice of justice and freedom in Afghanistan.
