Lawmakers from Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party are reportedly considering a proposed regulation that would ban the use of the Chinese app TikTok if it is used for a disinformation campaign.
The Reuters news agency published a report on Monday, March 27, that these lawmakers plan to prepare a proposal next month and send it to the Japanese government.
Meanwhile, the United States of America, Great Britain and New Zealand had rolled up their sleeves to prevent their citizens from using this Chinese social network.
The fact that this application is Chinese is a matter that worries Western countries. America is afraid that the information of American users will be available to China.
